Han Nguyen
Han Nguyen moved to the United States from Vietnam in 1975. It was in California that he first discovered his love for photography. Created mostly in the studio Han creates delicate studies of himself using a pinhole camera, as part of his ongoing series Gesture. Body parts emerge out of darkness in these emotional large-scale photographs toned with selenium and sepia, to give the images an antique cast. Han's photographs are represented in many collections throughout the US.
