Michael Mulno studied photography as a graduate student at the Massachusetts College of Art, under the guidance of Nicholas Nixon. An ongoing extended portrait of his wife, Heather, explores the dire human need to know and share in the life of another person. Mulno's projects include making portraits of city bus riders in between one place and the next on their daily journeys, and most recently pictures of young people that trace a transitional time in the life of their subject within a contemporary, yet timeless context.
