Arthur Kales | American, 1882 - 1936

Arthur Kales became a member of the Camera Pictorialists of Los Angeles in 1918, and from 1922 through 1936 he wrote on the developments in Pictorial photography in western America for Photograms of the Year. He was made a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and was given a fifty print retrospective by the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., in 1928.
