J. Walter Collinge | American, 1883 - 1964

J. Walter Collinge's romantic and painterly images of evocations of modern dance and studies of the Californian landscape are among the finest examples of the pictorialist movement in America. He was an active exhibitor in both national and international salon shows, they include: Smithsonian Institution, U.S. National Museum Section of Photography, 1930 and the Invitation Exhibition of American Pictorial Photography, Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, 1934.
